Blackcurrant aroma and flavor. Real fruit, nothing artificial about it. Some yeasty bitterness, especially in the aftertaste. Pinkish brown color.

bottle from beerplanet.eu clear brown, smooth large offwhite head. boozy and fruity aroma. fruits are blackurrant. The rather high alc. percentage makes the fruit aroma come out as bittersweet. Flavor is very fruity bitter, with a red fruity and rather fresh background, alc. and malts. very fruity brew. alc. can be tasted. The fruity bitterness and fresh fruity almost citrussy notes help a lot, but still i don’t really like the beer. too bittersweet.

Bottle. Muddy brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is fruity and musty, and the flavour is strongly black currant with a sour, burn’t to a degree and bitter finish. Overall an average beer.

Clear medium red purple amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white light red - purple head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, toasted, berry, cassis, moderate yeasty, light soapy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate acidic with a average to long duration, rebena and a dry finish. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. Becomes better and better the you drink off it. [20091002]

Muddy amber to brown color; generous head. Minty and fruity aroma. Ordinary average beer (average malt and sugars), with citrusy fruits, some sourness. Difficult to find a point here.

Unclear deep orange with a large beige head. Sweet aroma with black currants, malt and caramel notes. Flavour was sweet with mainly black currants. Finished sweet.

Bottled. An unclear dark red beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, wood, and berries. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of black currant, alcohol, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry acidic finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and oldish fruity. Spiced and fruity flavoured. Light bitterness and citric note coming through. Citric and fruity finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear reddish amber wiith a huge pinkish head. Tart aroma with the black currant shining through. Surprisingly light body, tart and dry black currant fruitiness. Ends dry also. 021009

Bottle off Octo’s shelf. Aroma blackcurrant Starburst, yoghurt and apple skins over earthy pineneedle, baked beans, menthol and honey. Murky and pinkish with a fine head subsiding to a collar, condition tingling and slight. Opens sourish and fruity, but doesn’t shake off that dense, earthy bean and wholemeal yeastiness. Some retronasal vanilla and oaky notes. The yeast doesn’t suit the fruit here, when some crisper lambic edge might have really worked. Messy and jarring, neither farts nor shits itself...

Bottle at De Bierloods, Adegem. Mahogny colour with red notes and a steady tan head. fruity aroma, hints of raisins, plums and even chocolate. Cassis flavouvours blend with yeastiness. Well-balanced. A fruit beer that works.
