Idiosynkrasie (5855) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 25, 2015
750ml bottle. Per se clear, ruby red glowing, brown colour with lots of floating chunks and small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish toffee aroma, a touch of marzipan and raisin. Taste is slightly sweet malty, some toffee, fruity hints of raisin, some spiciness, a cinnamon touch; dry finish. Rather insignificant.

Bottle, 97/11/2016. So.. November 97th? How can you have Christmas when you can’t let go of November? Murky brown body with floaties. Very firm and steady head. Mildly spicy aroma with more malt and yeast than the Brune. But it’s still very airy and not distracting. Very smooth taste with tingly spiciness and soft dried fruits, very faint rum raisins. Smooth and harmonic finish. This is how you do a Christmas special strong ale - no weird plasticky spice overkill or hard carbonation that could accent the flaws even further. One of the best Christmas beers.

Bottle. Dark dark brown with creamy head. Sweet aroma of slightly burnt caramel, fresh grass notes / bock, wine gum sweets, vanilla cream. Creamy taste, vanilla, mocha, hint of metal, hint of bock. Development towards roasted malts. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Ok.
