Nov 30, 2003 A cloudy amber beer with a fantastic light brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, yeast and cloves. The flavor is great; sweet malty with notes of cloves. If I should come up with one negative point, it would be, that the beer is a little too sweet.

Deep ruby and cloudy with creamy head. Banana aroma. Sweet and soldly malty. Estery with flowery hoppiness. Syrupy finish.

Jul 15, 2005 (Bottle 75 cl) Deep reddish brown with a fine, beige head and some lacework. Dry, roasted nose with some spiciness. Lovely full-bodied and malty beer with an incredibly complex palate that brings notes of port wine to memory. Believed to be the standard Abbaye des Rocs with a higher proportion of dark 6 chocolate malts. 310599

Dec 26, 2004 Sedimented chestnut appearance. Cobwebby yeast aroma with plum, cherry, peach and sweet dark malts. Spritzy carbonation and a full body. Peachy, slightly perfumey, cherryish and plummy palate with rich malty depths and a hint of chocolate. A little alcohol in the finish. Warming, rich, fruity. Joyeaux Noel, Brasserie des Rocs!
