A cloudy amber beer with a fantastic light brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, yeast and cloves. The flavor is great; sweet malty with notes of cloves. If I should come up with one negative point, it would be, that the beer is a little too sweet.

(Bottle 75 cl) Deep reddish brown with a fine, beige head and some lacework. Dry, roasted nose with some spiciness. Lovely full-bodied and malty beer with an incredibly complex palate that brings notes of port wine to memory. Believed to be the standard Abbaye des Rocs with a higher proportion of dark 6 chocolate malts. 310599

Re-rate draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden.
Deep ruby and cloudy with creamy head. Banana aroma. Sweet and soldly malty. Estery with flowery hoppiness. Syrupy finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours with light brown and shotlasting head but creamy head. Strong smeel of a specific hop (dunno which - but I like this one) Smell and taste of hop, caramel, malt and spice. Chocolate, dark yet sweet after taste. All sorts of different aftertastes come up with every zip. This is a real belgian Christmas ale as one would expect it to be - very good work!

Bottle. Brown color with huge creamy light brown head. Caramel, malt, cane sugar, spice and orange. Flavor of rich dark fruit, roastiness, maple, and light spices. Nice carbonation and perfekt balance.

Bottled. Reddish amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is just lovely, richly fruity and pleasant hopping and yeasting. Flavour is sweet toffeeish with some bitterish flowery hops and spices. Pleasant aftertaste of plum, spices and flowery stuff. Extremely complex, and yes, it’s a christmassy beer indeed!!

Draught at DBF 2005. Brown coloured with a small off white head. Sweet spicy and herby aroma with notes of dried fruits. Sweet flavour with lots of fruits and spices - especially ginger.
