| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Beer compliments of Eduardo, from a 750ml vessel, poured a hazy deep amber color with a huge off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is light yeast and esters. Quite nice. Flavour is much of the same, with some caramel notes. Medium body. However, what I think makes this a top notch beer is its smoothness. doboy (206), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA

The aroma was somewhat sour. that scared me! It poured a dark copper color and was somewhat cloudy. It had a very nice malty flavor and a sweet taste. Very nice to drink. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

Aromas of spice, coriander, yeast, and alcohol. Flavor has an alcohol taste to it, mixed with a nice smokey dark fruit. Also has strong hints of spice.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 18, 2009 750 ml bottle from City-Wide in South Bend. Pours a deep, dark ruby-brown with a medium tan head with nice retention. A ton of tan sediments in the glass- yeasty. Aroma of dark and dried fruits (raisin, fig, plum), yeast, brown sugar, mild spices, cardboard, and cola. Flavor is more complex, with notes of dark fruits, raisins, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, mild spices, cream, and a few things I just can’t place. This is an unusual one that I’ll have to revisit. No trace of alcohol in the nose or mouth despite the 10% ABV. Medium-full bodied, with a sweet, powdery, and almost tart mouthfeel. Really unique. Sweet finish. alexanderj (2294), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 12, 2009 Bottle; poured a reddish brown color with a creamy looking tan head. Alot of floaties. Aroma of dark fruit, caramel, yeast, alcohol, brown sugar, and candi sugar. Complex and quality. Flavor was very good and got better throughout the experience. Dark fruit, sugar, sweet, caramel, yeast and fruit. A really complex beer that is dangerously drinkable. Great; can’t believe it took me this long. Gypsy19 (666), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 7, 2009 750ml from Total Wine & More Roseville. Pours a very chunky brown with a large beige head. Lots of chunks floating around at first... Aroma is mostly of brown sugar and malts, some peach and apricot toward the end of a whiff. Flavor repeats this pattern, but with the fruits turned up a notch. A lot of syrupy sweetness throughout. Pretty sweet, even for a Belgian. Nice mouthfeel, thick viscosity, good carbonation. Decent Belgian in the end. Overall, good to very good. WVHouseofBeer (398), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Pours a dark amber color with some quickly disappearing tan head and a lot of floating yeast. Aroma is of sweet caramel and yeast. Excellent flavor consisting of caramel, yeast, and a hint of chocolate completely hiding the 10% ABV. This is an excellent Belgian Strong Ale from an awesome brewery.
