Brewer description : A triple fermented golden premium beer, brewed from a unique process using two different yeasts and an old regional secret. This “Bière de Garde” is refermented in bottle and has rich, copious and persistent foam. With it slightly cloudy aspect, Vivat Triple is of a great aromatic complexity. It delivers very good hope bitterness at the finish. It has been rewarded in 2008, by the most prestigious award for food and drinks’ quality in France: Golden medal at the “Concours agricole de Paris”.

A little hazy yellow beer with a huge foamy white head. Aroma is very mildly yeasty. Quite crispy carbonation yet still relatively soft and round mouth feel. Lots of sweet and yeasty floral notes. Some alcoholic notes but not disturbingly so. Quite a lot better than the Vivat blonde with a lot more solid body and nicer texture and even taste. Quite similar otherwise. This is a big step for the better yet I would hope the aroma would be stronger! Mildness of it drops the points of this one quite much.

330 ml bottle. L054/20/11/12. BB 31/05/14. (Alko) Helsinki, Finland.
Cloudy golden colour with a small frothy white head. Floral hops, mild yeast, mild bitterness and malt in the aroma. Bitter grassy and floral hops, mild yeast and malt in the flavour. Warming. Hops in the aftertaste. Not bad.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2015 Bottle from Carrefour Supermarket, Calais, France. This is a hazy straw beer that pours with a huge foamy head. It has sweet cherry and lemon flavours with toffee and malty notes with tart fruit and sugary sweetness followed by a slight spicy, peppery finish.

330ml bottle from Alko Arkadia

Pours clear golden with a large foamy head. Aroma of soapy fruits, herbal notes, spices and malts. Taste is smooth, malty, slightly soapy and fruity with hints of herbal hops and spices. Finish is sweetish, spicy and slightly soapy with some yeasty notes. Decent tripel, but the soapy notes are a bit unpleasant.

Overcarbonated, UFO-riddled, metallic orange-copper beer, slowly gushing to huge, dense, ultra-stable off-white head. Alcohol, caramel and sugarnose, smelling rather ’hot’; sharp vegetables/herbs, faintly pickles’ aromas. Bitterish, dry flavour, slightly metallic; bit oxydation (the malts?); probably not very distinctive hops. Sugary sweetness (re)appearing warming up. Hint at sourishness (the ’pickles’ in the nose), but not disturbing. Fizzy, bit ’raw’ taste/feel; medium bodied and slick. Not bad, but there IS a certain doubt, concerning that latent acidity.

Pours very pale yellow. Some (chill?)haze. Lots of carbonation and a massive head. Spicy aroma mostly, not much else. Rye-like maltiness, spicy and peppery and also some hops there. Cant believe this is 8,3%!

Hazy honey with big dense creamy white head, good lacing. Looks good. Through head I sense ripe fruits, yeast, bit flower and herbs. Crisp and fruity in mouth, very belgy, medium body, soft feel, long fruity finish, sweet, apples, bit banana, ripe fruits. Good aromatic beer.
