COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewer description : A triple fermented golden premium beer, brewed from a unique process using two different yeasts and an old regional secret. This “Bière de Garde” is refermented in bottle and has rich, copious and persistent foam. With it slightly cloudy aspect, Vivat Triple is of a great aromatic complexity. It delivers very good hope bitterness at the finish. It has been rewarded in 2008, by the most prestigious award for food and drinks’ quality in France: Golden medal at the “Concours agricole de Paris”.

Bottle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate malty – some wheat and sweet aroma, dark fruits and some caramel, light herbal hoppyness and light alcohol. Body is medium to full, malty – some wheat and sweetish flavor, caramel and some fruitiness, light citrus - herbal hoppyness and light alcohol. Finish is average, malty – some wheat and sweetish, some caramel and some fruitiness, light herbal hoppyness and light alcohol. Caramel sweet and fruity tripel – alcohol and hoppyness make finish bit drier. Too sweet and too much caramel for me.

330ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
Initially bready, but then very spicy aroma, hard to place, but clearly in the Belgian-triple mould. Very mellow in the mouth, sweet and soft, but crisply carbonated. A hint of something like glue or acetone in the retronasals occasionally, but it passes before you can obsess over it. Body is a classic Belgian strong - bready, spicey, and really not very strong! Finish has some fatty resiny spicy, hops. Covers the alcohol very well, it’s an easier drink than the blonde. It’s a slightly more boring drink than the blond too, lacking the same crispness and magnitude of hoppy bite. Not floral enough to really press my Tripel buttons, and maybe a bit too sweet too. But still, a solid Belgian Tripel. Improves as it warms - spiciness comes out more, and is almost peppery. Poured a mostly clear gold, with a brief head, constant gentle carbonation, not enough to support the head. With a splash of yeast until it’s very hazy, the body becomes grainier and hazier, I can’t say I preferred before or either.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 31/05/14, from Alko Arkadia, 20130130) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was quite large, long lasting and white. Aroma had fruitiness, sweetness and Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied and somewhat numbing with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, honey, malts, Belgian style yeast, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste had honey, Belgian style yeast and bitterness. A quite balanced and clean tripel but also easy to forget. The palate was unpleasant.

Ottima birra d'abazzia francese ma di stampo completamente belga, molto beverina e dolcina al punto giusto. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle. Hazy golden colour, big white head that leaves a nice lacing. Spicy aroma with citrus, yeast and notes of caramel. The flavour is fruity, with yeast and a little alcohol, and a nicely spicy finish. Not the best tripel around, but still quite nice.
