COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewer description : A triple fermented golden premium beer, brewed from a unique process using two different yeasts and an old regional secret. This “Bière de Garde” is refermented in bottle and has rich, copious and persistent foam. With it slightly cloudy aspect, Vivat Triple is of a great aromatic complexity. It delivers very good hope bitterness at the finish. It has been rewarded in 2008, by the most prestigious award for food and drinks’ quality in France: Golden medal at the “Concours agricole de Paris”.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A huge, off-white head forms over an almost clear, golden body. Nice lacings left. The aroma is nice but a bit dull. Fruity, lightly malty and bitter with a touch of spices. The same goes for the flavor, it’s not bad in any way, but it could use a bit more punch. Both bittermess, fruityness and spices are low, and I think it’s a bit sweet. Full-bodied, nicely carbonated. Well, sure drinkable. 120107

500ml ceramic bottle pours a slightly cloudy amber color with about 2 fingers of white head which leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is fruity with some yeast and spice and a trace of hops. Taste is malty sweet with some yeast and spice with a lingering hop bitterness in the finish. Medium body and pleasing carbonation for a nice feeling on the tongue. Overall, this is quite a nice tripel.

Bottle. Smells of damp grain. Looks cloudy. Tastes dry and of heavy alcohol with a yeasty blah-ness. Drying clammy palate. Can you pour this over Christmas puddings and light it? Would probably be the best use.
