COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewer description : A triple fermented golden premium beer, brewed from a unique process using two different yeasts and an old regional secret. This “Bière de Garde” is refermented in bottle and has rich, copious and persistent foam. With it slightly cloudy aspect, Vivat Triple is of a great aromatic complexity. It delivers very good hope bitterness at the finish. It has been rewarded in 2008, by the most prestigious award for food and drinks’ quality in France: Golden medal at the “Concours agricole de Paris”.

750 ml bottle from SAQ, served cold in a tulip glass. 26JL10.

App.: Very cloudy, deep dirty golden with yeast flecks. Aroma: Saison-ish funk, quite sharp, once that clears: doughy, yeasty, coriander, malt bread, tart fruitiness. Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence, a bit powdery (odd...). Flav.: More Tripel and less Saison than the noe, still some funk but more integrated with wheat, yeast, citrus, honey, fruitiness, biscuit; somewhat sweet with some tang and a touch of bitterness, a little alcohol to finish.

Kinda messy and unrefined.

After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity not wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained normale carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a clear blond color and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a spicy touch. This beer smells spicy.

50cl bottle from an Auchan: Caged and corked bottle. The cork came out easily, with only a muffled "pop". This one pours a slightly hazy, lighter golden color, There was quite the head of white foam on top. It leaves one lacing as it subsides. Somewhat lighter aroma for a triple, but what was there is nice. Bready, yeasty, clove, mild other spices and some apple are noted. Faint apples, as well as some other fruit notes in the taste. Some wheat and malt flavors. Slightly sweet, with no hops noticeable. Drinks easy. A nice beer.
