MBison (445), Southern Highlands, Australia Feb 2, 2008 Bottle (750ml). Upon talking off the wire stopper, I had a quick chat with my friend – bad idea! POP there goes the cork all on its own, I self opening bottle? Poured a murky bronze like orange with a creamy white head which was average lasting. Aroma was of musky malts, some cloves, cinnamon, sweet vanilla, with some orange and apple peel. Flavor was of acidic grapes (not in a bad way) with some orange peel, yeasty notes, musky malts and some hay in the back. Medium to full bodied with lively carbonation, somewhat oily texture, syrupy mouthfeel and a long finish.
JonnyDr (128), , South Yorkshire, England Oct 16, 2008 Updated: Oct 25, 2008Pale beer with huge, thick and annoyingly perdurable white head. Herbs, citrus and yeast lead to light finish. Pleasant but way overpriced (came in earthenware bottle). Lubiere (3408), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Sep 28, 2008 A golden ale with a super thick creamy white head. Nice aroma of coriander, light mustard seed and ginger notes. In mouth, a crisp sweetish malt with coriander and orange peels, light phenolics and green pepper. Medium bodied. Bought at SAQ Maisonneuve\Peel, 6.80$. Eructoblaster (1275), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Sep 6, 2008 Bottle - 750ml. Pours a blond hazy body topped with a thick, lasting white foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with bready hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its malty taste carries hoppy/herbal and grainy notes. Ends with a decent bitter/herbal aftertaste.
