fata2683 (222), APO, New York, USA Oct 13, 2008 75cl bottle labeled Abbaye Mont St. Jean. Pours deep gold with a small white head. Aroma is of light alcohol and citrus, with light hop presence. Taste is light, with thin malt and very light bitterness. Finishes with some citrus notes, mouth is thin and lightly carbonated. Easy to drink, but boring LordCorkscrew (670), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy Oct 8, 2008 Ale belga piuttosto convenzionale, con sentori di pesca sciroppata nel retrogusto, un po’ meno raffinata ma non molto diversa dagli altri prodotti di Lefebvre. Stufa piuttosto facilmente; bottiglia da 75cl "ABBAYE MONT ST.JEAN" trovata dal solito fruttivendolo in via Maddalena. drewbeerme (1895), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 3, 2007 750ml bottle. poured slightly hazy straw with white head. nose is very coriander and grainy. flavor has lots of coriander, grains, and oats. mouthfeel watery. carbonation is fizzy. pretty crappy. Russo (511), Campinas, Brazil Apr 23, 2007 I Could try this beer in France on my last vacation. I got a little bootle at supermarket near Sacre Coer. This picture was send from me. :) Enjoy this great beer.... PeterA (338), USA Aug 3, 2006 750 ml bottle (Abbaye Mont St. Jean), purchased in Senegal. Having lived in Paris, something sold only at "ED" being exported to Senegal as well, doesn’t surprise me, anyway... The aroma was a little bit fruity, but on the weak side. The color was a banana yellow, with hints of orange. The flavor clearly showed the Belgian hops and sugars. The label says it has coriander in it, but I didn’t notice much spiciness. The mouthfeel wasn’t quite as sticky as most, so that was pleasant.
