COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available in 18 and 36 pint containers direct from the brewery and in bottles.
Notably hoppy ale which is light to medium-bodied, clean-tasting, refreshingly dry, with a balancing sweetness. Citrus, pale malt aroma and dry, bitter finish. Consistent. Amber gold in colour.

bottle, Darts Farm. Hazy golden yellow, small white head. Fruity-hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, malty background with some nice spicy hoppy flavours and a touch of orange and lemon peel. A very nice bitter.

Very pale golden pour. The aroma is a little bit sulphury. Soft fruity hops and a touch of spice as well. Goldings hop spice and a nice minerally character. As it warns up the spice really comes out. There is a touch of soft peppery character and some light lingering almost minty character as well. Soft and spicy and quite lovely. A pretty solid pint really.

On tap, pours bronze. Aroma and flavour of biscuity malts, light toast and lightly bitter hops. Not too thrilling.

@ Pig & Fiddle, Bath. Rich amber-gold. Stable tight (sparkler?) head. Balanced aroma of cereal grains and light field hops. Quaffable. Excellent pour! Clean and delicious. Biscuity (cookie) malts. One of the better session ales from Bath. Light on the palate with lasting balanced flavors. Quick on the tongue and more-ish. This is what I wish APAs were like.

Bottle. Golden/Bronze beer with a mild head. The aroma is toffee, bitter and hopped, and the flavour is bitter and mildly toffee and roasted. Overall a nice but fairly average beer.

Cask handpull, The Star, Bath. Bright lacing yellow with a collapsing white lid. Slight citric and hay aroma joined by grass and soapy bitterness, vomit, nuts and vanilla on the palate. Butter in a good way, digestive crumbs, rub of celery. Not much to it.

[cask] Weak caramel and toffee aroma with a weak apple note. Almost clear copper with a lacy, white, thin top. Relatively bitter caramel flavour with slight lemon and floral hops. Uninteresting. Light to medium body, low carbonation, moderately bitter finish.
