SDbruboy (1822), San Diego, California, USA Jun 25, 2004 Updated: Jul 2, 2004Wow, can’t believe that I’m the first to rate this brew! I had this on draft at the brewpub (actually they contract their brewing out) in Miami Beach. It’s a nice clear amber color with a moderate white head that diminished mostly and left some lacing. Aroma is mild, slight sweetness and nice floral and citrus hop aroma. Flavor is good cool and better as it warms. Sweet malty backbone with an assertive hop profile giving it a west coast IPA character. Medium body and prickly carbonation make this one a nice respite from the Miami summer heat. DenverLogan (421), Oceanside, California, USA Feb 22, 2008 Golden ale...small head. Aroma of malts and citrus. Midwest malts and Northwest hops make up this IPA. Some grapefruit hop and citrus notes but not a big west coast monster by any stretch, but tasty. On tap at brewery Jan 07’. leitrim65 (396), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 25, 2005 On tap at the brew pub. Dark golden color with a small white head. Had to work at getting something in the aroma, mostly of grassy, earthy hops. Nice flavorful smoothness upfront, with earthy hops dominating, and even a hint of smoke. A medium hit of hop bitterness in the finish. A good one to finish off the day in swealtering Miami.
