tronraner (1372), (Louis-, Sevier-, Knox-)ville, Tennessee, USA Oct 5, 2007 Draught at the brewpub, as "Patty and Aaron’s Pumpkin Ale" (same beer; supposedly named after some people who drank tons of the last batch). Pours orange with slight beige head. The aroma is lots of nutmeg, some cinnamon and some clove. The flavor is nutmeg, some toast and caramel, some slight cinnamon, and a touch of alcohol. The finish is slightly woody with a blend of spices. Warm aftertaste. Sammy (2969), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 6, 2007 Cinammon pumpkin, allspice, ginger, nutmeg. That’s the smell, that’s the taste. A bit thin mouthfeel. Orange colour, I could not finish it. On Tap at the brewery. Nate (2195), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 15, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Spicy aroma that is a bit more herbal or medicinal than pumpkin pie sweet. Allspice, ginger, pumpkin, and Tiger balm. Light sweetness. Orange amber clear with no head. Medium body with medium-heavy carbonation. Starts mildy dry and spicy with pumpkin pie flavors. Light sweetness of malt followed by medium hop presence. Overall, doesn’t overwhelm you with flavor, like say the Schlafly, but has just enough in there to keep you interested if you like that flavor. Mild carbonic gassy tang. Dry spicy after.
