Commercial Description:
This beer is an Irish style ale. It has large additions of caramel malts which give it a rich, malty flavor and a reddish color. It is very smooth and an easy drinking Irish red ale.

On tap at the brewery. Sweet malty aroma, light cherry notes and a bit of diacetyl. Fruity, juicy hops. Reddish amber clear with no head. Medium watery body with medium-heavy carbonation. Starts sweet with light brown sugar, fruity sweetness, red licorice. Nice tasty maltiness character throughout with dry nutty grain finish. Mild hops bitterness with neutral fruit in the afte. A very nice irish ale.

On tap at the brewpub. Snappy, dry red malt. A bit dry. Hoppy. Crisp. Cascade-like hop character. I find this enjoyable.

On tap, at brewpub. Pours a hazy dark amber with a one finger fizzy beige head that had decent retention. Light nose, some husky and toasted grains, light yeast, and a little fruitiness. The flavor is toasted and dry maltiness with just a touch of yeast derived fruitiness. Moderate bitterness, kinda leafy, on the back end. More hops than I expected. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a little resiny stickiness on the finish. Moderate fizzy prickly carbonation. Bigger and bolder than the usual for the style, the bitterness got a bit old by the end of the glass.

Draft sample at brewpub. Yellow with no head. Nose is buttered, home made biscuits. Taste is corn, butter, and malt, crisp hops at finish. Clean, not muddled. Not my favorite style, but decent.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a reddish amber color. Fruity brown sugar aroma. The flavor is sort of a hoppy fruit tea. A lot of malt backbone with a decent hop character, both citrus and floral. Medium body that leaves a bittersweet flavor on the tongue.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours bright orange-red with a small, ivory head. The aroma is caramel and toast with some graininess. The flavor is very caramelly with some prickly hay and carbonic tones. Toasty finish. Not bad.

Dark red with thin head. Medium mouthfeel of above-average carbonation. Some toast and malt, with hops in the finish.
