On tap, at brewery. Pours a slightly hazy copper body with a small tight bubbled off-white head. Very light leafy hop nose with some caramel and a little too much brown sugar. The flavor is very odd, very sugary and sweet with minimal hops. Seems like this is really under attenuated. Mouthfeel is thick and sticky with a very clingy finish and fizzy prickly carbonation. This was not good. From what I overheard while there, this is one of the first efforts from a new brewer (who I think is the owner) at Abbey Wright. I hope that this is not a sign of what’s to come from them, or they won’t be seeing me too often.
