COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Pure Maris Otter Pale Ale malt, and English Goldings hops produce this fine single varietal golden coloured beer, giving a rich mellow sweetish taste tempered with citric overtones and a subtle bitterness in the finish...Gold Medal winner in strong ale class at Peterboro' CAMRA beer Festival 1998.

Cask. Yellowish golden colour with a small head. Aroma is very citrusy with some bready and earthy notes as well. Flavour is citrusy, mildly dishwatery notes as well as some bready and mild herbal notes. Easy to drink, but nothing very special.

pours amber with a white head. aroma of biscuits, caramel, and some citrus. taste is sweet and biscuity, very smooth, with a bitter finish. nice session drink, but nothing exceptional.

On cask at Cloisters. A golden ale with a thin white head. Musty honey - meady caramel nose. A little thin with a definite mead like yeasty / honey flavour. Deceptively drinkable given the abv.
