Cask. Yellowish golden colour with a small head. Aroma is very citrusy with some bready and earthy notes as well. Flavour is citrusy, mildly dishwatery notes as well as some bready and mild herbal notes. Easy to drink, but nothing very special.

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2009 1. Cask Stillage at the Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt, Liverpool 24/02/2001
Tasted this one a couple of times and got quite different results - whisky and ginger undertones firstly and the next time I sampled it was about a month later.
2. Cask Handpump at the Mill Hotel, Chester 21/03/2001 where I found it to have more of a fruity pear flavour and less spicy feel to it.
3. Cask Handpump at the Smithfield, Derby 15/08/2007
Very fruity aroma. Clear golden coloured hoppy and fruity with some alcohol present in a very dry slightly acidic finish.

Cask conditioned at The Derbyshire Cat, Sheffield. Pale gold / yellow with white head. Fresh bitter flavour with good hoppy notes throughout. Light in body but nicely refreshing, some op oil and a grassy taste. Good stuff.

A bit bland for a premium strength beer. Insipid pale colour. Sweetish malt aroma. Quite nice balance in the flavours at the start, but tails off towards the finish, leaving a slightly cloying sweetness. Cask (gravity), London Drinker beer festival.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Linolnshire Poacher Nottingham. A pale gold beer with a white head. A lemony citrus aroma. As this was served with a tight sparkler there was a creamy feel to the beer which got in the way of the obvious lemon hop flavours. I’ve had this gravity served in the past and it was tons better than this forgettable experience.

Quite pale in colour for this type of beer. Light sweet malts are complemented by a clean floral hoppiness. This has flavours below its alcohol so be careful, because this is quite drinkable.

Cask. Hazy light golden, lasting white cover. Very aromatic ale with plenty of zesty, limey tones. Intensely hoppy. A bit cheesy in the backing yeastiness. Really pointy, sharp hops are the turning point of the drinker’s focus and they biscuity malts offer nothing more than a platform for them to shine on. Addictive.

Cask at peterborough beer fest 2009. Alround rating: Pale sweet malt, noteably strong with the alcohol not trying to hide much. Fairly average.
