2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of grain, biscuit, lemon, grapefruit and some sugary sweetness. Taste is mainly bitter and dry of grain, soap, sugar and citrusy grapefruit. Medium bodied and oily texture. A bitter hop finish. Don’t like this, isn’t hoppy enough.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask. Rutland Arms, Sheffield. Clear, pale gold. Bubbly, white head. Soapy lemon. Very sweet, grainy malts. Tastes better than it smells. Just. Reasonable bitterness, albeit a bit soapy. Sugary sweetness. Palate is robust, but more of the soap is evident. Not good, this one.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned at The Wellington, Birmingham. Gold with white head. Reasonably dry and bitter with a basic malty, grainy background. A little thin perhaps, not Abbeydale at their best.
