Straw coloured bitter with a fresh grain aroma and a good sparkle. There are light caramel notes and a nice floral hops character. Solid, unspectacular, stuff.

Cask handpull, The Crown and Kettle, Manchester, 02/04/11. Pale gold with a slim drum of head. Lemon rind and grapefruit citrus aroma with softer green notes- mango? Balance and quality; sherbety, tropical-hinting hop finishing bitter with a softening cashew and rich tea aftertaste. Again some sulphurous, background Snatch. Deep husky malt. Very decent.

Cask @ The Museum, Sheffield.
Pours pale golden with a nice, staying, frothy, white head. Aroma is sweet, lightly citric, some pine, grass and melons. Low carbonation, good dry mouthfeel. Soft bready malts background. A touch of cardboard. Grassy and piney hops. Really long, lingering hoppy bitterness. Nice.

Cask @Northampton Beer Festival, 2009. Golden beer with a hopped and toffee aroma, and a hopped, gently dry and toffee flavour. Overall a nice hopped and toffee beer.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2006 1. Cask Stillage at the Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt, Liverpool 23/02/2002 Straw coloured bitter with citrus notes and plenty of hops in the finish. 2. Sampled the following month at the Rat & Ratchet, Huddersfield 30/03/2002 where I found a slightly more bitter finish and orangey fruit flavours present.

Another good beer from abbeydale. A light, hoppy beer with a good aroma, which is further backed up by a hoppy taste, with the slight sweetness that comes with a slightly higher than average abv.
