Cask, The Pub, Leicester. Clear ruby, slim cream lid, wisps of lace. Some leafy hops, orange and plum on the nose once its warmed up. Mellow plum and blackcurrant fruit over chocolate Hobnob. Subtle and tasty- worthy of the big 3333.

Cask@Out of the Vaults, Leicester. Dark fizzy looking beer with a gentle head. The aroma is light and malty, and the flavour is light, quite dry, and malty with a slightly bitter finish. Overall a plain beer.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Red-hued dark beer, with a nice cream head. Very good sweet hop aroma. Whilst dark, this is unmistakeably Abbeydale, with their trademark, clean hop flavour. Lacking dark beer chocolate-ness, this ends up being closer to a perky Scwarzbier. Later some roast appears in the background. Very odd. Tasty, but impossible to pin down.
