COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Occasional.
Devotion is 4.4% and is made with new season Green Bullet hops. Last time we used Green Bullet we got wonderful herby flavours which worked well with a refreshing bitter finish. The new hops have stunning herb aromas in the bag so we are hopeful of producing another outstanding special. And it is. We racked some up in the brewery to try and it is georgeous. A pale beer made with Green Bullet hops from New Zealand giving floral aromas and distinctive lychee flavours. Lingering bitter finish. Very refreshing with crisp and rounded bitterness. A classic Abbeydale pale ale.

Hand pulled during beer festival at the Bartons Arms, Birmingham. Sampled with Maeib. Green/gold, no head. Floral, spicy aroma. Delicious golden beer: fragrant, hoppy, tasty, queching moreish. Finished in an instant.

Cask Stillage at Edgeley Park, Stockport 02/06/2007 Very hoppy fruity pear aroma. Clear golden coloured pale and hoppy with some bitterness in a smooth and creamy finish.

A bright golden yellow coloured beer with a weak white head. A citrus fruit nose, of grapefruit and lemon, then a biscuity malt aroma. The taste is dry, biscuity malt, then a faint floral hop, citrusy grapefruit flavour that lasts through to the finish. (Cask - The Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk).

Cask at Ship and Mitre, Liverpool I seem to have run into a succession of very pale gold, citrus hoppy beers. this was my third such beer in a row, so I rather frowned on it, which is a shame as there was absolutely nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

Golden brown with a bubbly head. Aromas are dry with Autumn fruit and spices. Flavours are pear, with bitter citrus pith and hints of sweet pink grapefruit coming through. Quite hoppy - which is always welcome.
