COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special - September 2010.
Fantastically pale beer made with 100% low colour Maris Otter malt which allows the full hop flavours to shine through. The hops are a generous blend of North American Santiam and New Zealand Riwaka giving lots of berry fruits enhanced by light spicy notes. A good bitter finish gives a very light and refreshing beer in typical Abbeydale style.

Cask at The Green Man, Stamford, Lincolnshire. Gold with a small white head. Citric hop aroma. I almost said pineapple, but it’s more like Trebor Refreshers. Do they still have those? A little of the same citric sweetness in the taste, but a sharp bitter finish takes over. Interesting if not quite fascinating. And a very disturbing picture on the pumpclip.

Rating #2000. Cask @ 3 Judges. Clear yellow colour, white head. Aroma is massive lemon hops, fruits, light malted. Flavour is lemon, spices, coriander, hint of dry toasted bread, soft malty. Fairly bitter and dry finish. Excellent stuff, good sessionable.

Cask Conditioned handpump The Pub Leicester. A straw coloured beer with a loose white head. An excellent sharp citruusy nose with good grapefruit notes. Lovely bitterness in the mouth with good citrussy grapefruit again. Has the riwaka sharpness but is well balanced. A touch of toffee too.

Cask, Ale Wagon, Leicester. Straw coloured with a thin foam. Aromas are melon, lychee and kiwi fruit with blackberry. Hints of caramel malts with grapefruit and spicy hops. Floral and lightly grassy. Flavours are sweet hay malts with spicy, citrus hops. Very fruity with a woody, clean, bitter finish. Very good.
