UPDATED: APR 15, 2008 The Wellington, Brum. Pale and lacy. Enticing peach and leafy hop aroma. Citrussy tomato leaf greenness. Sodden with hops. Really good.

Cask Stillage at the Memorial Hall, Northwich 16/09/2005 Clear golden coloured and hoppy with a slight citrus flavour. Crisp on the palate with a hint of bitterness in the finish.

Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre pub festival, Liverpool. Considering there are about a thousand of these blond citrusy hoppy beers about in the UK at the moment, this one is pretty good. Very pale gold, lasting thin white head. Ascetic lemon aroma. Some lemon curd on the swallow. Grapefruit on finish. Not too soapy. Adi, who is a bitter and stout drinker, liked it even though it wasn’t what he would normally drink.

Cask conditioned at The Wellington, Birmingham. Pale gold to straw with white head. Lovely hoppy beer, light and lemony, just what Abbeydale are good at. Maybe a touch thin, but packing lots of flavour. Very nice.
