3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DruncanVeasey (5136) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, - AUG 10, 2008
The Raglan Arms, Rugby. Straw-coloured and nitro creamy. Subtly fruity aroma with grapefruit and floral hops. Soft milky apricot and lemony citrus in the mouth. Bit of a watery finish. Certainly not the hop bite I was expecting, but a pleasantly mellow GA.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - SEP 27, 2011
First tasted this in Gabriels, Paisley in April 1999. Handpull dispense. Clear straw in colour with a thin white head. Fruity citrus aroma and thin clean mouthfeel. Pale malts give a citric fuit base with hints of lemon peel and grapefruit evident. Aromatic floral notes from the hops, giving a metallic tang to the aftertaste. Good bitter sweet balance in the finish. An excellent summer session golden ale.

Cask (GBBF2011, Thursday)
Sweetish fruity bitter. Nice malts. Long finish - fruity hops. Doesn’t stand proud amongst the best stuff I’ve had today (golden ale and bitter boredom...) but certainly an adequate and drinkable golden ale.
