The Pub, Leicester. Pale straw with a slim airy lid. Watered Chardonnay aroma. Still and perfumed with suggestions of green herbs (coriander and parsley), papaya, rich tea biscuit. Clean and decent, but not the slap in the face of hops I was looking for, and outshone by the Fernandes.

A pale golden coloured beer with a thickish white head. A strong hoppy nose, floral and slightly spicy, loads of citrus fruits and a hint of malt. The taste is dry and very hoppy, floral and fruity, with a biscuity spice in a long dry finish. (Cask - The Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk).

Cask conditioned at The Dragon Inn, Worcester. Golden clear with white head. A perfect looking pint and the aroma of a basket of grapefruits, this had to be good. The grapfruit crispness followed into the flavour with masses of fresh hop notes and a solid maltiness in the body. Just the right amount of condition to make this a quaffer, very enjoyable.

Cask@Criterion, Leicester. Strong white head and a golden body. The aroma is lightly fruity and hopped, and the flavour is vinous, dry and fruity. Overall a nice creamy and smooth beer.
