COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Seasonal;
Our current seasonal beer is Abbeydale Winter 5.2%. A strong pale ale made with a combination of two New Zealand hops to give a full flavoured pale beer. Hop flavours predominate with berry fruits, earthy and grassy flavours all present. The finish is long-lasting and bitter leaving an overall impression of crispness alongside warming alcohol.

Cask Handpump at the Tavern, Warrington 29/12/2010 Hoppy aroma. Small white head. Clear golden coloured hoppy and citrus flavoured with a hint of bitterness and dryness in a creamy malt finish.

Cask handpull, The Crown, Nuneaton. Orange gold looks, foamy white top. Sexy armpit and mango aroma. Drinks like breakfast juice; grapefruit and mandarin, lime over a solid sweet malt cashew base. Near perfect pre-match entertainment..

Cask at The Green Man, Stamford, Lincolnshire. Pale gold. Aroma is citric, mainly grapefruit. Gentle, non-threatening grapefruit taste. Some bitterness. Easy drinking ale, though one dimensional. Incidentally what exactly makes it wintery?

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Pale gold with white head. Straight in to a dry hopped cornucopia with this, dry apricot fruitiness, leafy, just a hint of malty sweetness, then grassy flavours. Really very nice and very drinkable. Liked it.
