kook (2035), Perth, Western Australia, Australia Nov 4, 2004 Cloudy yellow with no head. Skunky spirit aroma. Smooth, though thin. Sour pears and medicine. Interesting! duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Oct 24, 2004 Cask@St Albans BF. Quite interesting farmy perry. The pears are there for sure and theres a slight medicinal spirity quality, quite acidic. Interesting. chris_o (4393), London, Greater London, England Oct 10, 2004 I’ve seen ciders and perries from this small Herefordshire producer around the festivals from time to time but, otherwise, I could find precious little information. This perry could certainly be regarded as an acquired taste. It has a very volatile spirity aroma, almost reminiscent of acetone (nail varnish remover). The pear character comes through more in the flavour, but its dry, pretty uncompromising stuff. I like it. Many wouldn’t. From the barrel at St Albans Beer Festival 2004.
Joeh (1892), Buckinghamshire, England Oct 4, 2004 Gravity @ St Albans Beer Festival 2004, Saturday. Strong perry, rather flat with heavy pear & alcohol/spirity notes. Tastes like acetone/pear drops. maeib (3816), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Oct 4, 2004 Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - St Albans Beer Festival. A very fruity pear aroma to this hazy green perry. Lots of skin in the aroma and lots of pear pulp in the taste. A long finish which hits the back of the throat.
