Pale for a CUB product, reasonable head retention. Typical CUB aroma, but perhaps less chemical, with peanuts and metal, but it seems reasonably fresh. Thin, water cracker-esque maltiness, more bitter than most CUB products and watery but not too bad. I guess you could describe it as crisp (as stupid a descriptor as that is.) It’s probably better than most of their crap lagers but it really pisses me off that to commemorate the brewery’s centenary they would make something that’s exactly the same as all their other shit. Why not make something like they did 100 years ago? Oh well.

Pours amber with a small fading head. Nose shows vegetal notes, industrial alcohol, hay and grass. Not what you’d call tempting. Simliar flavours; grainy notes, hay, faint spicy hints, metallic bitterness and finish.... Body seems watery. Pretty feral stuff!

PGC with medium size short lasting head. Stale corn and just going off eggwhite aroma. Thin low carb soda watery palate. Mild stale bitter hops with the barest hint of malty biscuit sweetness. Fades badly to a poorly cleaned 2 day old drip tray finish. Depressingly sad.

What a wonderful thing it is to celebrate a hundred years. There are a number of centenarians around who would undoubtedly be delighted to be called lighthearted, bubbly, not crusty, dark or even bitter. A fruity sort need not be compared with a full bodied, heavy old thickish stand-by either. Furthermore, the last thing a centenarian wants are comments about their aroma too. No problem here. Tthe only thing negative is the visual similarity to urine which may be a good thing in certain continents, but not incontinence.

Pale yellow with an enormous head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is sweetish but stifled by the can. Flavour is dominated by a sweet corniness and it was not very bitter.
