The worst of the watery stouts anywhere in the country. I would not even drink this if it were offered to me free of charge. I can't believe people cjoose to drink this stuff when Cascade Special or Coopers Export is available...oh, it's probably the price tag. Cheap and nasty filth.

One of the more vegemitey Aussie stouts; what's the go? It is poorly hopped and tasted like Helga's rye bread with heaps of vegemite. A bit of fun and thanks to Hoges for bringing back a bottle form Vic. I could imagine drinking a lot of this once I'm 90 and not caring anymore about anything except Blend 43. Thanks also to the spastics who made it.

5 for appearance cause the label is the silliest i've ever seen. bottle i saw said 5.2% so maybe theyve watered it down lately. it's almost black, headless, would be transparent if it wasn't black. low intensity brown sugar/licorice flavour. pretty crap but still a lot better than some of the "stouts" you get at some of the more clueless victorian brewpubs.

Perhaps it is invalid because it isn't really a stout? Its not a bad beer but it doesn't have the body or style of many others. It lacks a real character that some of its competitors have, such as subtle coffeesih aroma or strong mouthfeel. It is certainly better than the lagers though

Burnt aroma & taste without subtlety. Totally black but with hardly any head.

I’m noit really a stout man, so I’m no judge, but I had difficulty getting through a whole bottle of this. Maybe it’s better on draught.

for it’s price it’s a good Stout, after a taste you know why it’s a invalid stout.

good to see a beer for sick people. the victorian equivalent of sheaf stout. vegemite aroma. very full in flavour - international roast, coagulated soy sauce. slightly heavy going
