COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Status uncertain.
Aylesbury Brewery Company Best Bitter. Although ABC ceased brewing in the 1930s it continued as a pub company and had ABC branded beers brewed elsewhere until taken over by Allied (now Carlsberg UK) in 1972. Brewing of ABC brand then moved to the Ind Coope Burton brewery and subsequently to Tetley in Leeds.

Cask Conditioned at The Rose & Crown, Oxford. Light brown with sticky head. A revived old classic beer, particularly in Bucks, Oxon. Pretty standatd light bitter without a redeeming bitterness, dry but a little thin.

Fond memories of this, shame it’s not as good as it once was. Dirty coloured, decent bitter taste but no real arresting aroma or palate to it. Disappointing.
