4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 KnutAlbert (5186) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 12, 2013
On tap at Schouskjelleren.
Cola color, fluffy head. Very rich, malty, a little smoke.
Cereals, you really feel the ingredients here. Hops, too, underlining with some dryness to balance and fill in the blanks. A bit too rich, maybe.
The finish leaves a pleasant dry palate.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 visionthing (1625) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 8, 2013
On tap at Schouskjelleren. Clear brown with a tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, toffee, vanilla and hints roast and wood. Very sweet and caramelly with some fruity flavours and a light bittterness in the finish. Medium to full body with a fairly soft carbonation. A bit too sweet for my taste, but certainly a decent beer. (2013-04-06)

A hopped up brown ale, sure makes it better than just a plain brown ale. Nutty hoppy aroma. Nice brown malt feel without to much roasted tastes. Good mouthfeel. I liked it.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2013 Courtesy of Mr. Odland himself. Nice dark brown with a ruby hue. Nice low tanned head. Aromas of caramel, rum, toffee, citrusy hops and faint roasted malt. Use of muscovado sugar in tips beer fits very well. Pleasant flavors of citrus, roastyness, caramel, earthy. It was served a bit too cold, bit give it some time to warm up, and it will unlock all the goodness. A good beer indeed. I recommend this all of my friends, and those who have tried it loved it!
