COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Forget all you know about light lagers, and ready your palate for our West Coast Lager. When we decided to brew a lager we wanted to put our own spin on it. Malt-wise it is brewed like a traditional light lager, but then we do what we do best – we hop it! Massive amounts of American citrus hops makes this lager something all hop heads will rejoice about. Finally a fizzy yellow lager that’s jam packed with flavor!

On tap at cardinal. Pours golden with a small white head. Aromas packed with citrusy hops. Clean and crisp flavors. Good dry finish. NB. Tried this about 14 days later, and the beer had a strong butterscotch aroma and flavor. When I tried this the first time this wasn’t there. I don’t blame the brewers or the beer for this change.

Tap at Schouskjelleren, march 7th 2013. My second ABC, enjoyed after the firewood stout. Hazy light golden, staying medium foamy offwhite head. Quite hoppy nose, tropical peach, mango, hints of cocos. Dry lager taste with a continued fruity dominance, peach, grapefruit, mango. As expected a solid bitterness, ending with a dry and fruity finish. Absolutely my kind of a prem lager.

16.03.2013. On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Thanks to Gunfryd! Golden colour with white head. Aroma of spicy hops. Bry and bitter with floral hops and notes of green apples. Aftertaste is bitter and leaves a dry mouthfeel.

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Hazy gold, low carbonation. Well hopped, pronounced bitterness bordering on the harsh. The body is a bit light to cope with all this, but this beer realy kicks!

On tap at Cardinal. Excited about this one, I wasn´t expecting a traditional lager from these hopheads, and i wasn´t disappointed. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of oranges, peach, sweet overall. Taste is strong bitter, but a strong butterscotch strikes thru, I don´t think this was intended by the brewers. Not a winner for me.

I’m not a lager drinker and this isn’t really a lager! It’s a perfect bitter and hoppy lawn-mover beer. It’s good!

On tap at cardinal, Golden, clear in the glass, small white foam. Good aroma with sitrus. Heavy bitternes with some resins, and it’s surpricing that a beer with this light body and maltbase can handle all the hops. It’s a well brewed lager with a crisp finish, and i guess it will age well. But i didn’t help with that, i had one more.
