COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crafted since 1931, ABC Extra Stout’s uncompromising flavour and taste are the results of the exacting brewing process adopted by APB breweries, and the quality ingredients used for the brew. Besides the finest roasted malt and hops which go into the making of ABC Extra Stout, what completes it as a truly signature brew of APB is the unique strain of yeast that is specially-cultured in Holland. ABC Extra Stout is treasured for its rich, full-bodied flavour, roasted malt aroma and silky-smooth finish. ABC Extra Stout with its 7% alcohol content offers stout lovers the enjoyment of a dry stout with its distinct roasted malt taste. Each serving of ABC Extra Stout is usually topped with a thick foam that works to entice those thirsting for a full-bodied dark beer. The brew is best served between 4ºC and 6ºC. http://www.apb.com.sg/abc-extra-stout.html version brewed by Cambodia Brewery still 8% (at least, can served in Siem Reap 10/28/12 was)

33cl can in various places in Cambodia. Although ABC (originally Archipelago Brewing Company) Extra Stout is made in Singapore it is also licensed for brewing in Cambodia where it tastes different and remains at 8% abv - for now at least. A massive beer for Cambodia, thick, black, sweet, assertive and with a gert dollop of liquorice. Unlike anything else in South East Asia.

Can in Siem Reap. For Cambodia, this beer was awesome! Probably paid $1 Australian for a can. Nice dark malt nose. Licorice and roasty dark malt, peripheral 8%. Best beer in Cambodia!

Can@Phnom Penh Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Black beer with a strong head. The aroma is malty and lightly roasted, and the flavour is very malty, with liquorice and roastedness. Overall an average strongly malty stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12/11/12/13/11/12
