I had a bottle of this beer poured into a glass while in Singapore. The beer had a light aroma featuring chocolate, coffee, caramel, and some modest barley and grain. The taste was a sweet-bitter mixture featuring prominent flavors of coffee, caramel, and a bit of grain. Its body was thin and a bit syrupy, with low carbonation and a light mouthfeel.

11 oz can flown back from Singapore by beertraveldude, thanks for the opportunity David. Pours a solid black color with a decent tan head that slowly recedes with minimal lace left in its wake. Smells mostly of caramel and brown sugar with hints of lactic burnt grains ala Guinness. Lightly fruity, slightly melanoid, and acridic coffee with little to no hop aroma or flavor. Medium body with a spirited level of carbonation with a slick bubbly mouthfeel. This is surprisingly not a bad brew. I have had worse Export stouts before and if I ever find myself needing a dark beer in Singapore I may give this another go.

Can from JMD. Black with an offwhite head. Aroma of dark chocolate roast malt. Flavour is sharp, deep roast malt that gives the urge to eat crisps to balance the palate with is almost salty.

Can at Paul’s tasting. Pours a dark ruby tinged black with a thin beige head. Soft cocoa and roast on the nose. Chocolate and sweet malt. Roast and toast, chocolate. A bit thin and empty, but decent enough. Slightly sour on the finish, a bit sweet. Roast and cocoa on the finish.

350mL bottle listed at 8%ABV poured deep black with nice beige head and some lacing. Aromas of chocolate and coffee. Taste is roasted malts and coffee bitterness. Decent carbonation and medium body lead to a nice feel on the tongue.

A nice sweet tip on this beer at first touch of the tongue. The beer promises more in the first few sips but loses steam pretty quickly. Drank in a 350 ml bottle in Luang nam pha in Laos
