Sledge Jr (2708), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jul 29, 2004 In the can at the 2004 Crescent Moon Vintage Beer Tasting. A boring lager. Looks and tastes the same as just about any generic foreign lager.
goldry (3), England does not count Mar 9, 2007 I think the beer used to be good, but it is now almost impossible to find ABC, although there is still some old merchandising in many bars. Our bottle was fairly old too. DuffMan (1915), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jul 7, 2005 I had this beer while on a medical mission in Ghana a number of years ago, but I thought I’d rate it now (one more country to check off!). Obviously you are not going to find a brewing miracle in West Africa, but when its over 40 degrees Celcius with 90% humidity, if it even remotely tastes like beer and is cold, then it does the job just fine. This one is a poorly made pale lager that became a revered after-work treat, along with Star and the occasional Guiness. The atmosphere of Ghanaian hospitality, hot groundnut stew with fufu, and the contented feeling of having finished a hard days work are what elevate this rating to what it is.
