Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear reddish brown with a frothy beige head. Lovely roast in the nose, vanilla and raisins. Medium body, sweet hard roast malts and vanila with an ashy finish. Some malt astringency. 280111

Bottle from ABC Beers, The Hague. Very dark brown to black pour with a huge foamy just off-white head. Aroma is roasted malts, tobacco, some ash, a bit of chocolate and a hint of coffee. Flavor has bitter roasted malts, some slightly sweet pure chocolate and a bit of an ashy finish. Slightly watery texture and lively carbonation. Slightly watery and one dimensional, but still a nice clean brew.

I like this firtst beer of ABCBeers in the Haghe. Roasty smokey taste. Dark brown body with a light brown creamy top. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate and burned wood. Bitter. A bit watery but long tasty finish. Great first beer!

Deep dark brown body with light tan head. Chocolate, cinnemon, dark rum and spices. Active and mouth filling carbonation with pleasantly low alcohol. Still has enough sweetness in the taste though. Well thought out recipe; a bit too spicy, if anything. Nice one.

Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of rosted malt, coffee and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle @ Ulfborg Weekend, Jan 2011. Pours dark brown with a small white head. Nose is dark malts, vague roast and fruit. A bit ashy. Some chocolate. Dry end. Medium bodied. Good.

Clear medium to dark brown color with a large to huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel malt, roasted, leather - coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110128]

Deep black, large brown head, quickly dissipates into a small head. Aroma of, roasted malt and caramel, some spices. Flavour is medium bitter with strong old coffee, caramel, roasted malt and deep smoke. Quite dry, medium high carbonation. Nice porter.

Dark brown, lasting light brown head. Nice porter with enough coffee and chocolate in it’s taste and an aftertaste that is like a good mocca bonbon. Thanks Secret Sinterklaas ;)
