Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma is dominated by the yeast. The flavour is medium bitter, yeasty, with a slightly oily, acidic feel to the palate. The bitterness lingers for a while into the aftertaste. A super satisfying beer!

Dark cloudy brown with a lasting, thick, tan, sticky, lacy head. Smells of sweet caramel malt, ripe fruit plum, liquorish and soft spices. Medium thin body. Tastes of sweet liquorish, caramel, yeast, ripe dark fruit, and chocolate. Nice rounded taste that hides the 7.5% incredibly well. Went down easy.

33cl Bottle from ABC Beers. Hazy dark brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of yeast, ripe fruits like banana and red apples, dark fruits, not very hoppy. Flavour is sweet, malty, fruity, yeast, ripe dark fruits, light hoppy bitter with a hint of liquorice. Light to medium-bodied. A fruity and yeasty Belgian ale in my book.

Bottle from ABC Beers. Pours a dark brown, almost black colored beer with a small tanned head. Aroma has chocolate, roast and faint hops. Considering this will be a older bottle, hops have faded. Flavour is good, medium bitter with roasty tones.. no chocolate flavors, some hop appearances.. Nice black IPA.. from The Hague!

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2012 Brown murky body and beige bubbly head; room for improvement here. Earthy, dark hops, even some milk chocolate. Nutty, enough hops. Balanced, well hopped enough albeit rounded off, Belgian yeast. Nice! (At the De Molen tasting)

I should not be drinking this on a warm May night but it was next in line. Guess you could call this a black ipa. Nice deep rye, molasses aroma flavor. Nice. Bottle from Berts Bierwinkel in Utrecht.
