6.0% gold colour with a good head, very much like Leffe, so it’s very good and cheap.

Dark amber colour with a very small colar. Typical abbey, but a bit dusty smell. Taste is tame / very watery, especially for an abbey beer with this strong smell. But the flavour is okay, and I like the taste. But the taste should have been stronger.

A Mes rate. Bottle at the Belgan Cafe, Ramsgate.
Dark golden brown with a reasonable white head. Meaty and oily and fatty. Some yeast and pond water to finish. Strangley cloying, pretty rank.

DruncanVeasey (7099) - NUNEATON, Top 13, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JUN 17, 2009
Dusty bottle off Octo’s shelf. Having a bit of a clear out of date-expired stuff in the ’cellar’. Reddish gold with a fine dissipating collar. Nose of honey, marmalade hop tang, dusty coriander, faint green tea and banana yeastiness. Silky orange tang with a dash of pepper, dunked biscuit, honey, slight mildew and metal. Generic pleasant blond, Leffe with more hop and yeast and less paper.
