30/08/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 14/9/12 (2011-419) Thanks to Jerre for getting me a bottle!

Very dark brown beer, high viscosity, aery beige head, pretty stable, adhesive. Aroma: sweet caramel, some mocha, citrus fruits, chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet slick start, soft citric and bitter hops, very dark brown caramel, more sugar. Aftertaste: sweet sugar, bit nasty bitter touch, more sugar. Not my cup of stout.

33cl, thx to Jerre!, not complex sweet Stout, yet balanced, hazy, small head, nothing special

Bottle we got Keith from Noel Cuvelier’s. Pitch with a thin yellow-tan halo. Promising hazelnut praline-like aroma suggesting Westmalle/Westy, black jack hints, hay and noble hop deep in the mix . Horrible, heavily sugared, heavily sweetened flavour with zero roasted character, just a salvaging sprinkle of bready yeast. Clings with the fake bitterness of artificial sweetener half an hour after you’ve swallowed it. Truly vile- but almost drinkable, if heavily diluted with Banks’s Bitter (Keith’s idea). Belgian beer at its worse- if you can’t drink the stuff, what’s the point?

Pours dark brown-black, decent head. Taste is very, dominatingly sweet, akin to boiled sweets. Also some malts, mild oats and grain but sucrose dominates. Too unbalanced.

Pours a dark brown with a nice beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, brown sugars, caramels. Flavors of sweet malts, caramels, brown sugars, and a hint of chocolate. Low carbonation, sweet and a little creamy. A little too sweet and watery.

Bottle from Kris Wines. Almost black with a big beige head. Sweet aroma with hints of chocolate milk. Super sweet flavours, hints of metal. Milk flavours. Hard and flat. Not very good.
