oh6gdx (8802), Vasa, Finland Jun 15, 2009 Bottled (thanks Bov!). Hazy pale nutbrownish amber colour, big foamy slightly off-white head. Nice lace. Aroma is flowery hops along with mild fruitiyness, herbs and yeast. Flavour is quite much the same, but also gets some slight metallic notes as it warms up. TBone (6682), Pori, Finland Jun 13, 2009 Bottled (BB 01/2010).
Murky amber color, small steady beige head, Herbal, flowery aroma with yeasty notes. Quite yeasty, some herbal hoppy, flowery flavor. This has some similar flavors than some Danish "flower beers". Watery finish. Allen (1289), Switzerland Jan 30, 2009 Appearance: It pours a hazy amber beer. Aroma: The nose is of honey, jam tarts, wood, cork and pumpernickel. Sweet. Flavor and palate: Sweet. Cork and honey showing up. Malty. There is an unpleasant characteristic showing up with the swallow. Sweet finish with hints of cork and marmite. Overall impression: Mediocre. Bov (5403), Bienne, Switzerland Jan 30, 2009 courtesy of Laurent Mousson - hazy reddish-brown colour, little foam; aroma of yeast, bread and malt; effervescent, quite thin-bodied; short aftertaste of bread - dubious RichardGretton (3131), Leicestershire, England Jul 1, 2008 Bottle. Brownish beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly roasted and dry. The flavour is roasted, slightly chocolate and mildly malty and dry. Overall a smooth malty and roasted beer. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Nov 25, 2007 33 cl bottle purchased at La Cave à Bulles in Paris. Apparently this beer is brewed with some type of flowers. It poured a clear light brown-orange color. Head was thick, rocky, and off white with good retention. Some tattered lace was left behind on the glass. Nutty and earthy aroma accented by grassy hops and a hint of stewed vegetables. There was also a pleasant whiff of malty brown sugar/milk chocolate. Delicate sweetness up front gave way to a mild acidity in the middle which lingered. A malty molasses flavor predominated throughout, but was understated overall. There was a citrusy note in the middle and a light nutty flavor rounded things out. Not a bad beer. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Jun 24, 2004 Dark-hazy amber; very little head. Faint malt nose, some garden herbs - doubtlessly the flowers meant. Again, faint taste of coloured malt. Finish is slightly acidic, like lime-tree blossoms' tea. Light bodied. A bit disappointing. It is a session beer, for the not overcritical.
