Abers Mutine Ambrée

Bottle conditioned beer bought in Brittany and drunk in UK. Rather nondescript. Clear ,honey coloured beer with only a small white head that quickly disappeared. Malty, slightly sweet. Little noticeable fruit. Best before date was 02/2010 so perhaps it might have matured if I’d left it?

Cloudy orange colour with an off white head. Malty, sweet aroma with notes of caramel and fruit. Malty, fruity and light yeasty flavor.

Bottle. Hazy orange coloured with an off white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and hops with notes of tobacco. Flavour of malts, fruits, spices and hops. Light hoppy finish.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of berries - especially cowberries. The flavor is sweet with an artificial fruit note, leading to a dry bitter end.

Sample from bottle. Pours unfiltered orange. Aroma of fruit and malts. Flavour is bitter/sour, spice and fruit. Finish is bitter dry.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of Grovlam. Pours a very cloudy orangey golden with an off-white head. Fresh and fruity nose. Quite light in body with fruity and spicy notes. The finish is dry. Quite pleasant and drinkable. 230407

Bottle. Small white fizzy head that mostly diminished. Spar lacing. Hazy amber color. Yeast, caramel, dust, grain, spice, hay. Light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Flavor was light sweet with some bitter notes. Light sweet and somewhat dusty finish.

Bottle. Hazy orange colour with a off-white head. Fruity, spicy aroma and taste. Medium body with a sweet dry finish.
