Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a large creamy tan head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faint vanilla, toasted malts and was fairly bitter with a touch of dark fruit. The flavor was dryish and a bit roasty with a fairly strong vanilla presence and light notes of cherry and berry. The finish was medium length dryish and had lingering toasted vanilla. Solid.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
had on xmass eave. A very dark brown color with slight beige head. The aromas were a slight malted chocolate with toffee and just a little vanilla. The vanilla got strong as i drank as well as the toffee. That being said the taste was only slightly sweet and there was still some real malt taste and even some hop bitter to balance it. An interesting offering from abita

Dark brown - off white head. Strong caramel-vanilla malt aroma. Taste is sweet malt but not as sweet as I expected. Much like the taste...vanilla, caramel and roasted malt. This is good, not great.

Pours a dark brown with a touch of red in the glass. Definite vanilla aromas; some alcohol esters and toasty mocha malt . Creamy flavor of cocoa more alcohol and vanilla. It has a nice toasty malt aftertaste. Overall, its very tasty and Iím definitely buying more for the price $5.99.
