Bright Amber with a small white head. Thin and dry with a little sweetness. Not much to this beer.

Actually got this a a burger joint. It has a smooth taste and goes down easy enough. However, it did not have any knockout capabilty and is therefore rated as average.

I drank this in a bar on Bourbon Street in New Orleans on July 20th. It was served in a bottle, cold, and tasted a little like Shiner Bock, for those who are familiar with the popular Texas brew. It was descent for a micro brew trying to make it in the macro world. I would’ve rather had an amber ale than this amber lager.

Taste 7/8 Bottle (date not marked). Looks: Nice amber with a good head. Aroma: Strong grain and straw aroma. Whiff of sweetness. Taste: Medium bodied. Straw, gain, a small initial bite. Then evens into malt/grain. Finishes spicy. Finish could be a little more smooth. Occasional.

Lots of wood and grass in the nose. A good amber color with lots of carbonation and short lived head. Lacing was good from this bottle. A flat taste out of the glass, no noticeable carbonation as you would expect from the appearance. There is a creamy, smooth palate to it, but ends in some kind of collision between salty and poorly roasted malt. Abita beers have a distinct character to them. Turbo Dog, Purple Haze, and this amber have a unique flavor that is like no other brew, yet like all the brews from this brewer. It’s better out of the bottle.

A very nice beer indeed. Pours a pretty amber color with a lasting head. Aroma is faint but pleasant none the less. There is a very nice malty flavor to this beer, it is malty but not sweet. Very well done.

12oz bottle. thanks to my b-law josh. i appreciate his effort....poured a transparent cider brown with a thin off-white head....aroma of grainy and grassy muted malt. smells like a light cider....watery and diluted flavors of grainy malt lacking in flavor overall. semi-lively carbonation.....my first vienna rating though so props for that!
