beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA May 22, 2008 Sweet caramel malts and quite a bit of breadiness to the flavor. Nose is sweet and a bit earthy and doughy. Hops balance with a soft herbal and spicy quality. The bitterness was a bit strong for the malts in my opinion, I thought the malts were decent and should have been more the center of the beer, but the hops seemed to wash them away and leave it kinda bland. WISEGUY572 (1244), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 21, 2008 I’m in New Orleans and I had just had a delightful dinner at an outdoor table at a fine bistro. I had hoped that a local beer, with some local gumbo and smoked kurobuta pork bellies would do the trick. Dinner was great but we switched to wine pretty quickly. No account nose. Minimal flavor ... minimal amount of sweet malts and hop bitterness. Thin in the mouth. If it were hotter, and if the food were less interesting, I could have made an excuse for a second beer. kurtkosher (144), USA May 21, 2008 pours a caramel color. has a nice light aroma. i had this with a couple of other abita’s at the same time. i liked this one the least thechandler (268), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA May 16, 2008 Pours a dark caramel with a foamy eggshell head. Aroma is light, just like all the other Abita brews, but theres a little (little) malt scent. Flavor is kinda thin. Little malt, little yeast. Mostly water. Aside from the ’Light’, this is probably my least favorite of the Abita sampler pack. Just way too watery. dalepryor (172), Paducah, Kentucky, USA May 15, 2008 hmmm.... what should i say about this. well there isn’t much to say i guess that’s the problem. Pours orange, quickly fading fuzzy beige head. the taste is extremely watered down, some malts present. This was a money waster chadzter (94), huntsville, Alabama, USA May 13, 2008 bottle, Not the best beer but it is an ok beer. I would rather have this than a bud. Although thats not saying much. Taste is a bit flat with the hops and a metallic finish. daknole (2810), Plantation, Florida, USA May 13, 2008 As expected this is an amber colored beer with a light tan head. Aroma is malty and flavor follows suit with plenty of malt as well. Maybe a hint of caramel as well. Easy to drink, but nothing amazing. DKTN (110), Mc Donald, Tennessee, USA May 12, 2008 Bottle, 12 oz. Light copper colored with a diminishing off-white head. Hop and malt aroma with perhaps red fruits. Not much taste here. It is refreshing, though, and better than a macro brew.
