3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ketchepillar (874) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - JAN 17, 2010
Brewing a Vienna as I drink this. The world is in balance. Hopefully mine will be better, though this isn’t bad. I can see why people don’t like this, the malt seems just like poor crystal character with some nondistinct "brownness", which really it is. The saving grace of this beer is the balance however. They got the body, sweetness, and bitterness levels all right, making it drink very nicely. A little bit of earthy, grassy hop appears in the finish.

Sweet malt aroma with a light amount of caramel. Hazy light orange color with a small white head. Mild bitter beginning that fades in the finish. Gets sweeter towards the end.

en san juan despues de la catastrofe en haiti y con un gran vergaso de agua.
tuvo mala suerte de pasar despues de una de lujo. olor a malt liquor al inicio (esto no es negativo). no muy amber que digamos. recuerda a mardi gras!
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 eaglefan538 (2726) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - DEC 27, 2009
Bottle from Santa. Pour was amber in color (lighter side of amber), white colored head, decent lacing. The aroma was strong caramel, some light grass. Flavor was strong sweet caramel (too sweet), some bread, some grass, some off un-clean notes. Lacking the nutty and nicely toasted elements I tend to dig in this style. Mouthfeel was light with a bit of maltiness. Middle of the road to just below average amber lager.

Like others have said, this beer isn’t really bad but there isn’t a lot that stands out either. I wouldn’t turn one down if it was offered to me and it’s still much better than your average mass-produced lager.

Served cold in a 32 oz. mug. This could be the beer equivalent of what house wine tries to be - nothing special, nothing spectacular, nothing really bad, no one will hate it but few will remember it. Smooth, light taste, finish is quick & minimal, no bitterness, just as it seems it could get interesting, the taste is gone.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 RPKLove (105) - Astoria, New York, USA - DEC 14, 2009
The sum of this beer is greater than it’s parts. Although it has virtually no aroma, taste, or tingle to inform your palate that it has arrived, it’s not a bad drinking experience. It’s not offensive in any way, it’s just like water. You can forget yourself while drinking one.

Light amber pour with a white head. Nice light malt aroma-some sweetness, caramel. Taste is crisp, clean. It has hints of caramel and is a bit creamy. Left a nice lace.
