Little toasty, dry maltiness, very subtle hop aromas/flavors and definitely not bitter. Real drinkable eating beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours brown with tan smallish head. Wheat and malt to nose. Tastes of mildly toasted malt, wheat, hops, and a pear overtone. Alcohol flavors begin to come through as the beer warms. Coffee aftertaste. Very clean.

Crisp and refreshing, but very watery. Small amounts of malt - kind of weak taste. Not bad, just weak. TurboDog a much better brew.

[WBA styles tasting] Clear amber color. DMS aroma, musty rubber. Caramel, sweet flavors. Low hop presence. Certainly a bad bottle, but a nice lesson in DMS.

What a funny beer. It has almost no aroma, but there is this hint of sewer water if you try to find some aroma by sniffing really hard. However the flavor is pretty good, I like Viennas I guess. Not too malty, not sweet, but refreshing and light. Watery, but here in Panama, I’m not Jonesing for a big beer. I found the flavor right on. Sessionable, not meant for pondering. Too poorly rated. Available this week at Riba Smith, they seem to be trying to bring in diverse beers to Panama. Who knows how long it will last.

Abita’s first beer. Brewed since 1986. It put them where they are today and it’s a good solid example of an American micro-brewed lager. A good, competent brew. Fresh and malty on the nose and a malty taste with only the slightest hint of hoppyness. Subtle finish of fresh bread. Abita’s description as well as a lot of the ratings mention "caramel". I don’t taste the caramel in this brew. I do like it though!
