2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 thooper41 (465) - Oregon, USA - AUG 18, 2009
12oz bottle: appearance is amber brown with minimal white head, aroma of caramel malt and slightly stale, flavor has a slight amount of caramel not too sweet.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 johnnyoski (287) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - JUL 22, 2009
bottle. Clear amber color with a fizzy off white head. Caramel and toasted bread aroma. Initial taste is slightly sweet with caramel and sweet dough. It eventually changes to a bitter flavor and finishes with that all familiar funky Abita spring water aftertaste. Still refreshing and drinkable in my book.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 lithy (2913) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2009
Clear red-orange, loose off white head. Grainy caramel aroma. Taste is water, light caramel, toasted grain, little else.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ditmier (1509) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 5, 2009
2009 Bottle - Pours brown with a small tannish head...aroma is malty and a bit grainy...flavour is similar, light cocoa, toast...passable, but I reach for many things before an amber usually...
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MmmcKay (841) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - JUN 28, 2009
Not a great amber by any stretch of the imagination. Light but refreshing. It went rather well spicy Cajun food like crawfish etouffee, gumbo, and jambalaya. Still it’s one step above a typical domestic light beer in my mind. Lacks in flavor, body, complexity, and aroma. Drinkable though
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bu11zeye (9614) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 19, 2009
(12oz bottle) Pours a clear copper body with a small off-white head. Aroma of nuts, toasted grain, and grass. Flavor of nuts, grass, toasted malt, and caramel.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ronaldtheriot (362) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JUN 15, 2009
This is a good amber beer, but some batches tend towards sour. Usually better on tap. I’d recommend giving it a chance, with bread and butter for a side dish.
