2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 RblWthACoz (963) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - FEB 2, 2008
Pours a clear amber with a crème head. Nose is like a pile of wet grass from yesterday that I let sit out on the front yard since then. Nasty. Over time calms down to a mere wet grass stink, but still... Flavor seems to be heavily influenced by a straw character. Feel is decent at best. Nice level of carbonation and a good liquid feel, but the flavor just kills any possibility of a positive experience here. Overall just a weak beer. Nothing at all good about it from my point of view. Avoid.

Ive always liked this beer, and perhaps it is situational, because it takes me back to the 1st time I had the beer in New Orleans over 15 years ago. Smooth and easy to drink, with some rich caramel notes, but a bit over-carbonated.

Pours light golden brown. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel with some corn. Light caramel flavor and not much else. Light bitter finish.

Aroma is like caramel and corn? Hint of tobacco? Amber color with no head. Thinnish body with light, fizzy carbonation. The flavor is caramel and not much hop. The finish has a metallic note. Better than Bud.

Bottle. Adjuncty nose, lots of corn sourness. Ugly yellowish orange. Mild flavor, drinkable but not particularly good. Full-bodied palate makes up for some of the otherwise bothersome characteristics.

On tap New Orleans Pours out a light copped color topped with a off white head. A little sweetness and malt on this one. Nothing very special
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Acknud (945) - Morganfield, Kentucky, USA - JAN 10, 2008
Average. I could drink it but it would get old. Amber pour. Heavy on the malt. I’ve already forgotten it.

Very disappointing attempt at an amber. The aroma has very slight notes of caramel, which matches the light orange color of the beer and the diluted caramel flavors. The palate is weak, and the taste stops abruptly. Overall, not an amber that I would try again.
