As with all abita products, it's perfectly decent, but nothing exciting. Dependable but bland. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This smooth, well balanced, but not very pushy on flavor beer beats your old man’s silver, white, and blue canned beers hands down. The spring water gives it a nice smooth feel, not too heavy on hops, a nice mildly nutty flavor without ever being boring.

On tap at Nates in Addison. Poured a clear amber color with a very thin white top. Taste of caramel malts, grains and crisp. Medium carbonation, boring thin body. Pass on this one.

Bottle. Caramel malt aroma with hoppy notes. Pours clear, bronze colored with about one finger of off-white head with good retention and mild lacing. Subtle caramel malt flavors to start. Finishes dry with some hops and a watery mouthfeel. Decent, refreshing amber.

12 oz bottle from Tipsy’s into a pint glass. Orange and clear with a thin white head. Bland aroma, light toasted malts and a touch of caramel/toffee. Similar flavor, very mild with lightly sweet malts. Light, pretty thin body, watery feel. Not much going on here.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2014 12oz bottle from Brewmaster’s in Wilson. Amber hue, murky clarity (can still see my finger through the glass) with mosty lasting fizzy off-white head. Virtually no lacing. Light malt, light fruit, some citrus hop as it warms. Light bitter fruit and water up front with a short light fruit finish. Light on the palate, watery texture. A forgettable beer.

Bronze pour. Sustains a white head with lots of tiny bubbles. Aroma of honey and toast. Same flavor. Quite thin in the finish. Might be a little oxidized. Or it could be that over metallic caramelization flavor. Either way, it’s just a little bit and doesn’t really ruin the beer. Definitely a little thin and light, but that’s what they’re going for I suppose. I like this better than I remember liking any Abita before.

Keg, Southern Hospitality, 9th Avenue, Hell’s Kitchen, 20/02/14. Headless watery bronze. Nose buttered Hovis. Intriguing earthy biscuit, sappy hop, shrub and thistle flavour with Weetabix sprinkles. Likeable and uncomplicated refreshment with some decent malt going on.

Catching up on some old ratings from Untappd -- First rated on 24 Feb 2012. Used some in a spaghetti sauce. Drank the rest.

Keg at a neighborhood Mardi Gras. Credit for authenticity. Pours light brown with white head. Scent is synthetic grain. Flavor is barely sweet then barely bitter. Thin and lively. Draft - Party
