FlacoAlto (2473), Tucson, Arizona, USA Aug 20, 2005 Pours a clear amber-copper color that is topped by a frothy, almost creamy, light tan colored head. The aroma is fairly bland with hints of crystal malt, and perhaps just a wisp of spicy hoppiness. The taste is soft and smooth, quite light and it has an up front light caramelized sweetness. The finish is lightly spicy and a bit bitter with a balancing hoppiness. This is really a rather bland Amber Ale, not really much to say. MattShizzle (385), Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 19, 2005 12 oz bottle from sampler pack. Pretty average. Tastes OK, but really could use more flavor. IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA Aug 17, 2005 Amber colored beer with an off white head. Mellow aroma, light caramel, even lighter hops. Flavor starts out caramelly and turns quite grainy. Palate is light and not well-rounded. Decent at best. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Aug 12, 2005 Now i had this on tap and was not really impressed..lack of flavour is the main thging, looks good and smells funny...one of the lower abitas!! Ughsmash (3978), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 9, 2005 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber with very little off-white head. Some sweet caramel malts in the aroma, but not too strong. Clean on the palate, but a bit metallic. Light mouthfeel. Flavor was primarily caramel malt and metal, with little appreciable hop presence. Not one I’d probably pick up again. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA Aug 5, 2005 12 oz bottle from sampler pack - Pours amber with a decent offwhite head. Aroma of carmel malts. Flavor is of caramel malts and brief hops. A slight metallic aftertaste kills the flavor of this one though. On the palate this is medium bodied and fairly crisp and clean. sigeprichie (1), USA does not count Aug 5, 2005 This beer wants to be good, but it just has no sustenance. It looks decent at first in a glass and then gets disorganized. Metallic flavor from what I guess is the capping process is predominate in every swig. Decent in a pinch. Turbodog is much more interesting. jasonp (1504), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA Jul 30, 2005 Clear copper with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel and some floral hops. Flavor has notes of caramel, toffee, some toastiness and a minor hop presence. Not that sweet, not that bitter. Has an unpleasant metallic tinge in the finish. Medium body, smooth texture and lively carbonation.
