zeprck (24), Boone, North Carolina, USA Mar 25, 2005 Had this in a bottle and it tasted really buttery; enough so that it was tough to finish. Had it later the same day on tap, this was much milder. The basic flavor was the same, just less overwhelming, more balanced. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Mar 18, 2005 Not bad for an amber. Very malty, but not too overpowering in it’s, uh, maltiness. Especially refreshing on Bourbon Street. robpet (98), Stone Mountain, Georgia, USA Mar 17, 2005 Nothing to see here. First taste was pure New Orleans swamp. Got better in the middle of the tasting and then got very corn lager tasting at the end. Nice color in the pour with a tan head. Put this same beer in a macro bottle and people will rate it a whole point lower. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Mar 2, 2005 Pours light copper to orange with a small white head that mostly dissipates. Some spotty lacing. Hoppy and sligh sour malt aroma with a yeast nose. Hoppy initial flavor that gives way to a sour maltiness with a faint yeastiness. Mild and fizzy palate.
Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA Feb 28, 2005 Good amber color, small white head that faded slowly then faded to a slight lace. The aroma was malty with maybe even a spicy side. The flavor was pretty decent but nothing spoecial.Malty and caramel taste with a decent sdweet side and just a bit of hops coming on towards the end.Not the best from these guys but decent enough to push a lawnmower for. Tmoney99 (4663), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Feb 23, 2005 Bottle as part of party pack. Poured dark amber with medium to large tan rocky head. Aroma was sweet of malt and small of hops. Flavor was malt and hops with sweet finish. jtxx (141), san antonio, Texas, USA Feb 22, 2005 I’ll give a 3 on appearance, since it was straight from the bottle. After drinking one, it’s maybe best I didn’t see it. I like the Turbodog from them, thought this would be better. This is an insult to Vienna brews.
civforprez (225), Galesburg, Illinois, USA Feb 7, 2005 Very watery, breadlike but not in a good way. Too much malt that never found its true purpose, fermentation. Sweet, watery, and yeasty. Poor. On draft in the BIg Easy but no head.
