Another 2004 Christmas beer. There was some head formation but slowly dissapated. The color was of copper but slightly cloudy. The taste was of malt but little watery. This was not a noteworthy beverage. Drinkable but not special. I enjoyed another lager at the Sandpearl in Clearwater, FL. the color was a clear amber. It compares well to the Traditional lager from Yuengling.

This beer has that "Dixie" catfish cheese smell and taste going on, but otherwise it is okay. The tastes are all mild and hard to pinpoint. There’s no bitterness, mild malts, and water. Overall, this is a disappointing microbrew, but it is so much more interesting than a lot of crap you find in the South. I’ve not liked the supposed "Viennas" that I’ve rated.

Light yellow with a small white head. Chalky texture with very light malt sweetness. Not much hop definition. Pretty boring overall.

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium amber. Aroma is moderately malty (bread, grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly grainy. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A somewhat husky, cooked corn concoction that doesn’t seem to be trying to be anything better than below-average.

This is a beer with sentamental value. It reminds me of a trip to New Orleans. I have always liked it, though it isn’t spectacular... it is a really good middle of the road amber. Nutty/honey aroma. The flavor is also nutty with a bit of molasses. It is a pretty clear brown. Fast diminishing head. Good beer. I will choose it over many.

bottle. nutty, slightly fruity aroma, low head. earthy flavor, full rounded mouthfeel, with maybe some other grains (wheat?) contributing. Sweet, but without too much hop balance. Good amber.
